Center for Ecosystem Survival (CES)
The Center for Ecosystem Survival (CES) is dedicated to creating global partnerships to inspire broadbased participation in the preservation of biological diversity through ecosystem protection worldwide.

CES works in partnership with schools, universities, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, natural history museums, and science centers worldwide to protect wildlife and nature.

Conservation Breeding Specialist Group (CBSG)
CBSG mission is to save threatened species by increasing the effectiveness of conservation efforts worldwide.

Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)
This is based in Canada.
It has come into existence by Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety. This convention was attended by a host of nations who agreed to work together on similar concerns.  It concerns itself with the following varieties of bio diversity.

European Centre for Nature Conservation (ECNC)
The European Centre for Nature Conservation is an independent organization working for the conservation and sustainable use of Europe’s nature, biodiversity and landscapes. ECNC stimulates cooperation between science, policy and economy for the sake of biodiversity and people in Europe.

Flora and Fauna International (FFI)
Founded in 1903, FFI is the world’s longest established international conservation body. It is one of the few organizations whose remit is to protect the entire spectrum of endangered plant and animal species on the planet. We provide support to conservation initiatives throughout the world, in the form of partnerships, technical assistance, direct funding and consultancy.
FFI divides its work into five conservation programmes. Regional programmes focus on Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Eurasia, while the Global Programmes address conservation themes.

International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW)
The International Fund for Animal Welfare works to improve animal welfare, prevent animal cruelty and abuse, protect wildlife and provide animal rescue around the world. From stopping the elephant ivory trade, to ending the Canadian seal hunt and saving the whales from extinction, IFAW works to create solutions that benefit both animals and people.

Pan African Sanctuaries Alliance (PASA)
The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA) is the association of sanctuaries in Africa that collectively care for over 670 chimpanzees, 80 gorillas, 40 bonobos, 200 drills, and literally thousands of baboons and other endangered primates
In 2000, PASA was formed at a meeting in Uganda designed to bring these sanctuaries together. By defining areas of mutual interest and working together to find solutions to common problems, PASA has grown into an effective organization that serves as a source of strength for its members, working to facilitate great ape confiscations and transfers, funding, crisis intervention, health standards and promote educational outreach.

RAMSAR Bureau - Bureau of the Convention on Wetlands
The Convention on Wetlands, signed in Ramsar, Iran, in 1971, is an intergovernmental treaty which provides the framework for national action and international cooperation for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources. There are presently 153 Contracting Parties to the Convention, with 1631 wetland sites, totaling 145.6 million hectares, designated for inclusion in the Ramsar List of Wetlands of International Importance.

The World Conservation Union (IUCN)
The World Conservation Union is the world’s largest and most important conservation network. The Union brings together 82 States, 111 government agencies, more than 800 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and some 10,000 scientists and experts from 181 countries in a unique worldwide partnership.

The Union’s mission is to influence, encourage and assist societies throughout the world to conserve the integrity and diversity of nature and to ensure that any use of natural resources is equitable and ecologically sustainable.

The World Conservation Union is a multicultural, multilingual organization with 1000 staff located in 62 countries. Its headquarters are in Gland, Switzerland.

The World Conservation Union was founded in October 1948 as the International Union for the Protection of Nature (or IUPN) following an international conference in Fontainebleau, France. The organization changed its name to the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources in 1956.

World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC)
The Centre has a mandate from the UNEP Governing Council to provide a range of biodiversity-related services to UNEP, the biodiversity-related conventions and their constituent party-states and other bodies in the non-governmental and private sectors (Decision GC 22/1/III).

Its mission is to evaluate and highlight the many values of biodiversity and put authoritative biodiversity knowledge at the centre of decision-making

World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF)
Established in 1961, WWF operates in more than 100 countries working for a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.

We are currently funding around 2,000 conservation projects and employ almost 4,000 people across the planet.

The organization is almost unique in that it has that local presence to global presence - talking to tribes of Baka pygmies in the central African rainforests, through to face-to-face discussions with institutions such as the World Bank and the European Commission.
