Can Gandhigiri works in the 21^st century?

Firmly No.  Post Independent India – Gandhism never work under the corrupt system of governance.  Gandhi had many god fathers. The great man like J.R.D. Tata was an ardent supporter of Gandhi, who had extended financial and other support.   The Brits have a soft corner towards Gandhi. The prime reason is that Britishers want all Indians should be enslaved with some of the Gandhian philosophy of non-violence.  The existence of British in India might have been very difficult if all the Indian take violent means.  Some role model like M.K. Gandhi was necessary on pre-Independent era for British to rule India with stiff opposition from Indian people.  Look what happened to  Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.  One of the pre-condition of India’s independence is that Govt. of India should hand over Netaji either dead of alive to the Britishers, It is because due to his aggressive approach towards British.

Coming back to the point,  Today ‘Gandhi’ brand becomes just a vote catching exercise.  For the powerless ordinary men, Gandhism cannot  work if he/ she want to deal with the ‘rotten’ system of governance.  Dadagiri, Lalugiri, Chamchagiri and of course Chaipani  works rather than Gandhigiri in the post independent India.  In the Greedy corporate democracy, we cannot make another J.R.D. Tata and Mahatma Gandhi together.  Existence of Mahatma made possibly only because of J.R.D. and Britishers.  It is the ‘untold’ facts.  Gandhi shot dead within 1 year after independence because our Indian rulers don’t need Gandhi’s presence any more. But of course, Gandhi’s name was necessary for political parties for their existence.  In a commoditised democracy everything can be sold including ‘Gandhi’ in the days of ‘politics of convenience’. 

Can anybody think that just giving a flower to the  official to  move their file and redress their grievance from the govt without a ‘chai paani’?!  Can an individual lead a dignified life in the Independent India?
