CARE took an advance fee of Rs. 3500 for provision of maid for a whole year with the guarantee of 3 replacements if we are not satisfied with services of the maid. We had given a requirement of a maid in the age-group of 25-35 years to look after two kids and a little top household jobs like dusting the furniture, etc. We were given a 53 year old woman with medical problems and a number of food restrictions who was unable to take care of the kids. She quit without any notice on expiry of one month of service itself. The organisation provided a younger maid as replacement as required by us this time. We were happy. But she was asked by the organisation itself to quit after just 4 days of work as she had been already earmarked for being sent to a household in London. She was just waiting for her visa to come through and as soon as it came she was asked to quit work at our house and asked to report back to the organisation immediately. Since then, we have not been provided any replacement. It is two weeks since then and there is no feedback as to when we will be provided with another maid. Despite taking an advance fee of Rs. 3500 to provide the services of a maid for a year without any holidays or break, and despite charging us double the amount of monthly salary (Rs. 6,000) for the maid - in comparison to local charges for a similar maid, the organisation is simply not responding to us. What is more, they are not taking our calls at all; not communicating to us as to when the replacement maid will be provided to us. They are also refusing to refund the money of Rs. 3500 taken by them as advance fees for these services to be provided by them. It appears to be the modus operandi of the organisation to take advance fees from various clients and to circulate the same maids among various households for just a month or two and then calling the maids back for being sent to new customers - thus cheating customers by taking annual booking fees in advance

| C: My Suggestions |
| 1. For the organisation: |
Intention of the management itself appears to be to cheat customers. Not even trying to communicate to resolve the problem. No procedural or systemic change can help an organisation which is out to defraud the public

| 2. For the public: |
Kindly do not fall for the claims made of the website. The clauses of contract are one-sided to the advantage of the organisation. Customers' right to uninterrupted services of a maid round the year as promised by the organisation is not at all protected. The organisation will simply call back their maids any time without any notice. You are informed just an hour in advance and the maid simply walks out of your house not caring about the replacement maid, etc.
