I was using an Airtel No 9818673019 provided by my PSU employer from where I superannuated end Jan.'08. Bills were raised by Airtel to PSU paid by PSU. Even after my superannuation, bills were raised by Airtel to PSU. For retaining the connection I requested my ex-employer Airtel to send the current bills for calls from 01.02.08 onwards to me at my residential address for making payments. I received the first bill in July'08 which included a previous balance of Rs.4201.92. I made the payment for the current month with a request to Airtel to send me a bill of call charges from 01.02.08 onwards settle with PSU for any balance amount before that date. Instead of taking any action on my above request, Airtel stopped my outgoing calls. On 26th July'08, when I landed in Ahmadabad, even my incoming calls were stopped. That day in the evening there were bomb blasts in Ahmadabad, my family members, relatives friends were not able to contact me. As if that was not enough, I got a call at 1145Hrs on 20thOct'08 from Tis Hazari Court telling that a case is being filed at 1400 Hrs same day I may contact the lawyer who is filing the case. Without thinking for a second about its genuiness, I contacted the said lawyer as directed by him deposited the total pending amount of Rs.4270/ in cash at Airtel outlet. I was very much shocked by such behaviour of Airtel, who did not bother to check the details at their end. I wanted to make a complaint to them but could nod not find any clue at their web site as whom to complain. I am sharing this so that others can avoid this sort of humiliation harassment from these so called SERVICE PROVIDERS.

I have not persued with any one except forwarding my complaint to Times of India for publication in column 'MY VOICE' which in my knowledge has not been done.

1) Airtel should give written appology. 2) They should return the excess payment to me. 3) My cell no should be activated. 4) I should be compensated for the Harrasment, Torture Humiliation.

Should be cautious as AIRTEL can also do such things for pety amount.
