I bought new Pulsar 150 on 16th April 2009 and was riding very slow till 1st service (approx 800+ Kms) and right from day 1 the clutch lever was very hard and used to feel some pain in the fingers (I thought due to new bike the clutch must be hard and will become alright after a few days usage). After the 1st service, I tried to ride it with a bit more speed only at some instances where I found that speed was totally dead, milage was dipped and there was also no change in the hardness of the clutch. Even a scooty could overtake my bike with easiness. I asked my friend (a mechanic by profession) to take a test ride and he instantly said that the clutch plates has gone and needs replacement. I did not even let him open anything thinking that warranty might be void if opened by any unauthorized person. When i visited the dealer (Khivraj Motors, Mr. Vijaykumar), he also said that there could be some problem with the clutch and needs to be replaced. He also said that Clutch is not covered Under Warranty. I would like to inform you that there could be some exceptional cases where, while assembling the vehicle at the plant, some damage would have occured. In such a condition why should the customer like me has to use the defective part. I agree that in normal circumstances (where after a prolonged usage) the clutch may not be covered under warranty. In my case it is an exceptional one since i haven't opened the part and right from day one i am facing this problem (which is due to manufacturing defect), this should be covered under warranty. I kindly request you to please get this part replaced under warranty at your dealership or authorized service point wherever feasible, but I need this to be done. Its just 2 months since the time i have bought the bike and feel like the bike is really very old and without any pickup and mileage. If you can't replace it please take back the bike and replace it with a new one, failing which i shall stop the
