Regarding Chief Postmaster General(PLI) Tamilnadu Circle,Chennai-600 002. , Chennai , Tamil Nadu
My PLI policy 500039-P for Rs.10000/= matured in May 2005 is not yet settled

1. Subject: My PLI policy 500039-P for Rs.10000/= matured in May 2005 is not yet settled

3. Details:
My PLI Policy No:500039-P matured during May 2005 was submitted to Chief Postmaster Tamilnaud Circle Chennai for claiming Rs.10000/= along with relevant forsm and origional policy. Since PLI policy is mainly for Govt employees, the policy was taken by me when I was working as LDC in PDOT Department at Bangalore during 1983 and the premium of Rs.36/= P.M. was recovered regularly from my salary. After that I got transfer to DELHI, PALAKAD(KERALA), COIMBATORE(TAMILNADU) and all these periods recovery being made without fail from my salary. Now, after my claim during 2005, office of Chief Postmaster Chennai denied my claim stating that it is not having recovery particulars since I have worked different places. Also, it advised me to collect the recovery particulars from all the places I worked so that it can settle my claim. With these, the Chief post master general chennai office stopped correspondence with me and I am helpless to get my amount of Rs.10000/= since 2005. I request you to kindly to help me to get justice.

6. Solution desired:
I want my claim to be settled for the sake of justice.
 
7. Help needed: Why a Govt. organisation is unable to settle a reasonable claim takes 4 years ?
 
C: My Suggestions
1. For the organisation: All premium collected must be available in a centralised database. Why an organisation can't check whether the premium has been collected or not?
 
2. For the public:  Do not have any money dealings with POST OFFICES so that whatever I have experienced since 4 years that may not happen to you.
 
3. For government: stop monthly recovery from pay from govt.servants if you do not have a mechanism of checking their premium collection.
