Respected Sir / sirs, I am MD Medicine student in the college. I joined MD the course on 06/06/2006 under management quota .The total amount fixed at the time of admission was Rs.SIXTY Lakhs (Including tuition fee) to pay before completion of course. The agreement made was to pay 60 lakh before course completion to Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Vijaya Nagara, Bangalore. By the Secretary Mr.Shivaram, before Sri Sri Sri. BALAGANGADHARANATHA SWAMIJI. Whole amount was paid to the Mutt in Bangalore by 25/10/08.Course is up to 05/09; RGUHS exam to be from 11/05/09 On 12/03/08 Dr.Mohan.M.E, asked me to payRs. 2,63,000. towards interest @ of 24% p.a. on fee. He considered that I haven't paid fee in time. It was not mentioned in prospectus or was never conveyed to me verbally or by memo to pay the Fee or interest till the day. On contacting Mr.Shivram told not to pay the interest & to give a requisition to Principal, for exemption of it. On 17/03/09, requisition was submitted. Then he directed me to pay a misc.fee of 18,000/. After payment of this also he was not ready to allow me to appear for RGUHS final MD exam. I approached him so many times and lastly on 2 /4/09. He told me to pay interest of 2.63 lakhs or won't be allowed to appear Exam. Last date for submitting application to RGUHS with fine is 15 /4/ 09. The Mutt is not demanding interest but Dr.Mohan is blackmailing for money & not allowing me to appear final exam. This is causing severe mental and financial distress to me &family. Kindly see into the matter seriously and see that private institutions should not blackmail students at the last moment before exam and grab money. 5. Current status:

Inspite of repeated requests and expliaing my current financial condition, principal is not permitting to appear for the final RGUHS eamination. I approached secratary of the Adichunchanagiri Mutt. he also recommended for excemption of the amount to Principal. Then also principal is not even listening to my words and not permitting to give exam.

6. Solution desired:
|
after payment of stipulated amount in time, such blackmailing for money should not occur to anyone especially students from other states. Principal should understand the mental condition of a person after spending this much money with no result. He must compensate the amount so that he can understand our mental state.

please help me to appear for the exam and make sure that he should not influence the examiners against me

| 1. For the organisation: |
don't wait for the last moment to exploit students exam tension to grab money. if fine is being put it has to be informed to the student and guardian time to time and during admission also
|

| 2. For the public: |
don't believe verbal offers get every thing documented from these private institutions
|
| |
| 3. For government: |
goverment must have power over private medical institutions so that they can't make their own rules at their convienience and benefit. there must be a criteria for collecting fine if the fee is not paid intime instead of collecting rates such as 24% p.a etc. there must a minimum and maximum affordable fine especially for education.
