CSR is not basically shelling out some money... for some schools some books or some health camps etc.. its way you do business itself.. i want to oil companies to which invest a lot in renewable energy and its research.. would be more responsible to me that.. an oil company starting schools.. CSR should be done in areas where the company has expertise.. (60%)
Encourage their staff to volunteer in thing of social interest in individual capacities..and encourage social consciousness through occational lectures..by invited guests.and any intiative of the employee can be supported... it should part of the HR and corporate communcations cell.(20%).. they also get some social magazines... in the office..
also corporates.. should use less energy.. they should try, go green buildings.. and use less on AC, travel..less and less energy usages..how do they follow labour laws, employee safety.. health and learningfor employees(20%)
these are basic denominators..for me.. to evaluate a company..
