June 17 : Chennai: Networking meeting of NGOs & Concerned Citizens

Raj Varadarajan has taken the initiative to organise a meeting of NGOs & Concerned Citizens so as to form an online and offline network in Chennai for TN related issues similar to www.karmayog.org

Date: 17th June 2007
Time: 4:00 p.m.
Venue: Drive-In Woodlands, Chennai
Prior confirmation of attendance required.
Contact: Raj Varadarajan
             Mobile: 9381031380
             Email: raj_varadarajan@yahoo.com cc: info@karmayog.org

Details about Raj are at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/karmayog/message/24151

This first meeting is to form a group of people who would like to get together to share resources and experiences, and work together on issues and concerns identified by the group. Also to get a better understanding of the various networks and NGOs that currently exist in Chennai and TN.

One objective of the meeting is to list areas of priorities for Chennai which the Chennai Municipal Corporation should look into. So do feel free to email your viewpoints.

All those who would like to be part of this group are invited to attend to share their ideas, experiences, concerns and issues that you would like to take up. It would be useful to the Group Moderator if you could email in advance any specific ideas, etc. that you may have, so that the meeting can be more effective and organised.

Those who cannot attend this meeting, but would still like to participate are also requested to send their details by email to Raj at the specified email ID.

Those who would like to offer support to the group by way of volunteering your time, space for future meetings, logistical support etc., are also requested to write in.

We have created a web-section on Karmayog for the group to post articles of interest to share: www.karmayog.org/tn/

We look forward to your attendance at the meeting.
Regards,
Vinay
