Karmayog is a non-profit organisation, and is funded from our personal resources. We do not get any external funding for our activities, and therefore we face limitations in expanding the range and reach of services that we offer. (Our expenses are not trivial; see the Financial Support section at the end of this note)

The impact of Karmayog is extremely high and you can help us in expanding this by participating and getting involved in Karmayog. To know how, please see the About Us section

Your support can help us to improve and expand the services we offer. This is how you can support Karmayog.

1. If you are in Mumbai or are visiting, please drop in at our office to share information about your NGO and the work that you do, as this helps us to think of effective ways to help you and other NGOs better.

If you like, we can also take you through a brief demonstration of the Karmayog website, its features, and how to use these.

2. If you can help us generate increased visibility for Karmayog, this would be very helpful, especially to the individuals and small NGOs who are listed and profiled on Karmayog. Please do spread the word - we would like more people to make use of the free services we offer!

- Inside pages (50,000 pages) - top banner - Rs.15,000/- per month

5. Help us to develop the Karmayog website
Karmayog has full/part-time openings for jobs / volunteers at junior / senior levels for software, net research, event organising, co-ordination & follow-up. For more details, see a note on “help us at Karmayog”

6. Help us to spread the Karmayog concept
Start a Karmayog Club in your area or start an online Karmayog discussion group for your city or town. If you are interested, please contact us

7. Sponsor events closed to your heart
We would like to organise more meetings of NGOs area-wise (i.e NGOs based in Fort), sector-wise (i.e hearing impaired), donors and volunteers. Such meetings are attended by representatives of NGOs and other high profile individuals. The number of participants for these meetings are around 40. Please help by sponsoring meetings at a cost of Rs 5,000. You can display your products or banner, give a presentation, and interact with participants.

We would like to organize seminars / walks on specific issues which normally get a participation of 100-150 people. The cost of exclusively sponsoring the event or seminar is Rs 20,000 and non- exclusively it would be Rs 10,000.

8. Do Support other NGOs
The Karmayog website is for supporting NGOs, and hence when you support an NGO, you are indirectly supporting our work.

- Donate to the Karmayog NGO-of-the-Month
- Buy NGO Products
- Volunteer with an NGO
- Offer your Services or Materials to NGOs
- Provide in-kind support to NGOs by:

  -- providing free meeting space for 15 - 30 people in different parts of Mumbai
  -- depute a staff member on a full-time or part-time at the NGOs office for data entry, internet
     research, coordination, etc. 
  -- photocopying / printing of lists, articles, etc. 

9. Provide Financial Support
Karmayog requires to employ more staff, spend on obtaining information, develop software, buy computers, etc. 
The expenditure estimate for this over the next 12 months is: 
- People - 10 = Rs. 1.50 lakhs / month = Rs. 18 lakhs / year
- Software and web hosting costs = Rs. 1 lakh / month = Rs. 12 lakhs / year
- Capital expenditure = 10 Computers, cell phones, furniture, etc = Rs.   5 lakhs
- Advertising = Rs. 0.25 lakhs / month = Rs.   3 lakhs / year
- Overheads - photocopying, courier, phones, organising meetings, etc. Rs. 0.75 lakhs / month = Rs. 9 lakhs / year
- Fixed Cost - rent, electricity, etc. = 0.25 lakhs / month = Rs.3 lakhs / year 
 Total = Rs. 50 lakhs / year
