September 8, 2006 No. CM.EO:2006 Subject : Common procedure for nursery admission Dear Mr. Aggarwal, As you are aware, the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi has constituted a committee to evolve a common procedure of nursery admissions to the capital’s private schools. The policy envisages elimination of interview, complete transparency and minimum scope for discretion of Management/Principal. The Committee in its first meeting held on 8th September, 2006 decided to invite suggestions and comments from different groups who have figured in the LPA No. 196/2004. Accordingly I request you to send the following to the undersigned for the consideration of the Committee:- (a) The suggestions/proposals that you have already submitted to the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in this regard. (b) Any other comments/views that you would like the Committee to consider. You may send them by courier/speed post so as to reach the undersigned by 1.00 p.m. on 14.09.2006. You may, in the meantime, sent the above by email to chmn_cbse@nic.in or mk_arora27@rediffmail.com at the earliest. Further it is informed that the Committee is scheduled to hold its next meetings on 15th and 16th September, 2006. If you desire to offer any explanatory remarks on your written submission, you may kindly appear before the Committee as per details given below:- Date : 15th September, 2006 Time : 3.00 p.m. Venue : Chairman’s chamber, IInd Floor, CBSE, Preet Vihar, Delhi – 110092. You are requested to offer your oral explanation/clarification briefly within the framework stipulated by the Hon’ble High Court, viz, transparency, elimination of interview and minimum scope for discretion of the Management/Principal in the admission procedure.
