Mathradass Colony, Kalina, Santacruz(East), Mumbai - 400098 is a very old Colony with a mix culture of people residing there peacefully. But due to some unathorised constructions there, life has become a menance. Tenants residing on the ground floors, have extended their houses from front and behind and made the roads very narrow. Not only people on the groung floor, but also in Building Number 12, the first floor and the Second floor have extended their rooms illegally. Since this colony is under the Cournt now and there is no registered Society, tenants just keep doing as their will, with no one to question or take any action. In the name of gardens, people on the ground floor have built huge blockages on the grounds, which causes a problem for the residents to park their vehicles. Due to these illegal constructions, there are always fights between the vehicle owners who pay the monthly vehicle parking dues to the so formed society and the illegal extended houseowners. Its high time that the Government takes some action. Just cause of some corrupt BMC officers, the entire Government is blamed and treated as Garbage. |

Your Suggestion for a Solution |
The Government should check the plan of the Colony and demolish all illegal constructed houses and house extensions. Also a family on the second floor in Building number 12 have purchased 2 adjacent houses and broken the middle partition, cause of which this is a danger for the building. As teh pillar is removed, the support for the building weakens. This is a risk for the other 39 houses and families staying there |
