Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP)

Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP) is a not for profit organization working for the farming community all over India with more than 15000 members. The members includes farmers, agricultural experts, agricultural entreprenuers, agriculture and allied sector based community etc.
 
We have mainly two core activities:
 
Query Redress Service:
This helps the farming community by making available a 10,000 plus network of experts to them. Any queries from farmers are forwarded to the ISAP central office from where it is routed to the relevant experts.
 
The Query Redress Service of ISAP is run in partnership with Kiosk Operators, NGOs, Private sector and Public Agencies involved in extension. The service caters to information and knowledge needs of the farmers, Professional Members of ISAP, individuals and other stakeholders involved in the wider agricultural and allied sectors.
 
 
Market Linkage Service:
ISAP believes that just the dissemination of market information is not enough. An effective market linkage program that can bring together farmers and buyers is required. ISAP aids in the creation of these market linkages. ISAPs role in the market linkage programs is not just limited to linking up the farmers and buyers. ISAP identifies products and markets for a cluster of farmers, and performs the initial detailed mapping for key market centers. ISAP also sets up the systems and processes to enable the farmer clusters to continue the mapping exercise in future. The mapping includes detailed analysis of the markets and identification of a pool of long-term buyers. By the end of ISAP intervention, it is ensured that the farming community has established firm links with large potential buyers. ISAP also hand holds the farming community in first stage negotiations with these potential buyers.
