DRDA Administration

A Centrally-sponsored scheme District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Administration was launched on 1 April 1999 with the objective of strengthening the DRDAs and making them more professional in their functioning. The funding pattern of the DRDA Administration is in the ratio of 75:25 between the Centre and the States.

During 2005-2006 the revised estimate for DRDA administration was Rs. 235 crore and the whole amount was also released. In the current year, i.e., 2006-07 a budget provision of Rs. 220 crore has been made for the scheme.
