On 19.9.2008, I was driving by my car with valid license, RC book and seat belt on. I was stopped by ASI Mr. N. N. Chaudhary at Athwagate junction. When stopped, I was informed to park further away and get down the car and approach him. I was asked if I have license. On my willingness to show the same, it was denied. Further, I was asked why my mobile light was on. My mobile did ring but I had cut the phone off. I introduced myself as an income tax consultant. He said he had lots of problems with income tax department and I was not allowed to leave except if I pay bribe of Rs. 50. Upon denial, I was issued a penalty slip[ of Rs. 100 vide rec no 0814964 u/s. 177 without explanation. I was not allowed to leave except I pay Rs. 100. I was compelled to do so. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
