Period of incident: 2008 - Apr 2. Services that were sought: Regsitration for Sales Tax No.(VAT & CST) 3. Problem/s I faced: The people in the department are accutually harasing the people who come for registration. Inspite of all documents the remove some error or the other so that u get frustrated and need a CA or a tout for registration resulting in paying approximate RS 1000-1500 depending upon ur registration 4. Bribe amount: 1500 5 a. Was the bribe paid? Yes 5 b. Could the work have been done without paying the bribe? If so, how? NO 6. Result: NOT COMPALINT YET TO CONCERN AUTHORITIES C: Additional Informtion attached Details of Content: Nil D: My Suggestions 1. For head of government d epartment: Suggestion 1: I think intervention of any person in govt department leads to curruption. Hence unless all activities are cumputerised this kind of curruption cannot be stoped. See in case of Income Tax Pan Card . NSDL was deputed for this job and has done it very effeciently. I think in passport dept also tout exist. Govt has recently given this job to TCS and i am confident that the general customer will benefit. I think all departrmenst need urgently computerised and all documents should be done thru NET.This will save lot of precious time. 2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): Suggestion 1: Try going for registration and u will see the result 3. For other citizens: Suggestion 1: I have no suggestion. I think we are used to curruption E: I am not ready to reveal contact details because  Harresment from Authorities.
