1. Period of incident: 2007 - Nov
2. Services that were sought? I was travelling with an infant and signficant luggage in Mumba i on the eastern express highway. I was made to alight from the vehicle I was traveling , unmindful of my situation and fend for myself.
3. What problem/s did you face? The auto I was traveling in was stopped at the junction , and the police inspector claimed that the driver has jumped signals ( which he had not).The 2 policemen present there continued interogating the driver , till he handed over a Rs.50 note.When I questioned the same, I was made to alight.
4. Bribe amount: Rs.50/- At every junction , every policeman demands Rs.50-100/-
5 a. Did you pay the bribe? If yes, why? No , questioned it and hence made to stand on the highway with an infant , fending for myself
5 b. Could you get your work done without paying the bribe? if so, how?
6. Result: No , questioned it and hence made to stand on the highway with an infant , fending for myself

1. Suggestions for head of government department:
1. Cameras to be installed in main junctions , to monitor the actions of these corrupt policemen
2.Have a complaint kiosk on the highway / important main roads , to facilitate commuters to stop by and drop in a complaint
2. Suggestions for the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI): Wind Up office and sit at home.Anyway you guys do no work
3. Suggestions for other citizens: When more citizens oppose this form of corruption , greater good will accrue to the society
