I m final year student of Architecture, Sarvajanik collage of Engineering & Technology, Surat.
On the pure academic level I have proposed “centre for indigenous knowledge in medical plants in Dang” for my thesis project.
Ř I want to develop a centre which is economy generator for tribal
Ř Medical plants will be conserved with the local’s participation.
Ř The traditional knowledge of tribal healers will be documented and scientific research will be done there.
Ř The platform will be given to tribal healers to practice their traditional knowledge system, thus training their younger generations.
Ř It will acts as a knowledge house for collecting, documenting, and disseminating information on indigenous knowledge of medical plants.
Ř Sales of products from the centre
The centre will facilitate
Cliniqual facilities –practiced by local healers
Documentation & communication centre – with help of local healers and researchers the plants will be documented
Training & education classes
Production facilities-rare plants will be cultivated, stored, proceed to make herbal products – and also sales of products from centre
Research facilities-laboratories
Medical plants museum-herbarium
I need to visit and study of similar kind of institutions as a reference case studies to understand what kind of spaces need to be design, what kind facilities are given in to the building..?
