"A Nested Queue Model For The Analysis Of Air-Traffic Control Sectors". TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH, 1972.

 

The paper dealt with the interaction between the airplane traffic and the control communications traffic in an air-traffic control (ATC) sector. Using the concept of nested queues, it was shown that some operating characteristics useful in the design of ATC sectors can be analytically derived.

 

"Linear Programming Model In Occupational Medicine". JOURNAL OF OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE, 1969

 

Using data on the success ratios of various medical tests, their costs, the statistical prevalence of various medical conditions in the target population, treatment costs, etc. the paper showed how to structure an optimum examination program.

 

"Cost-Effectiveness Of Artificial Kidney Programs", 35th Annual Meeting Of ORSA, 1971

 

A quantitative index of effectiveness for dialysis treatment was proposed which covered a number of objective clinical measurements, as well as several subjective staff and patient assessments. The index could be quickly calculated on a computer, and matched against the costs of treatment.
