1.      Career Profile: Retired from Bhabha Atomic Research Centre ( BARC ) in July 1999, as HEAD, RADIATION SAFETY SYSTEMS DIVISION ( Service Period: December 1961 to July 1999 ).

2.      Education:  Master’s Degree in Physical Chemistry – 1961 ( Vikram Univ., Ujjain )

·         Practical Training (1 year duration) in Radiation Safety in Canada : 1966-1967.

·         Doctorate in Physics – 1984 (Gujarat Univ., Ahmedabad ).

3.      Field of Specialization: Radiation Safety in relation to Nuclear Fuel Cycle Activities.

·         Solid State Nuclear Track Detection ( SSNTD ); also guided research work in this field for M.Sc. degree by research for 4 students.

4.      Special Assignments: Represented BARC at the XI International Conf. on SSNTD in U.K. in 1981.

·         Visited HUNGARY under Indo–Hungarian Bilateral exchange prog. for working scientists in 1990.

·         Served on International Atomic Energy Agency’s Consultants’ Panel on “Radiation Safety in South – East Asia” in 1996 and visited South  Korea in that connection.

5.      Teaching Experience: Member of Teaching Faculty of  BARC Training School for almost a decade & handled the following topics: Health Physics, Basic Physics (for chemistry stream ), Interaction of Radiation with Matter, and Radiation Detection & Measurement.

6.      Honours: Elected “FELLOW” of Maharashtra Academy of Sciences in 1996.

·         Nominated as MEMBER of “Quality Assurance Cell” of  Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil College, Vashi, to advise “Internal Q.A.Cell” to sustain & improve gradings received from NAAC(2004-2007).

·         Nominated as Ph.D. Thesis  Examiner (for 5 Theses in Physics) by Univ. of Mumbai:2005-2008.
