Has organised all-India level and state-level seminars on various topics like communal harmony, Shiv Sena-BJP Government and its implications for the minorities in Mumbai; Law and Gender Justice and workshops on various aspects of communalism in different cities; conducts youth camps to instil in young minds the ideas pertaining to communal harmony and secularism; conducts research to analyse the multifarious problems of communalism; field investigations present a clear and unbiased view of communally-charged situations -findings of some of these studies have been published in newspapers like Times of India and Indian Express. The Library and Documentation Centre is used by scholars, journalists and students; organises street plays in the slums of Mumbai to generate awareness regarding the perils of communalism.

Indian Journal of Secularism, a quarterly journal, contains a wide range of articles, research papers with focus on secular and communal problems from the historical, political economic, cultural and sociological perspective; Secular Perspective - a fortnightly.

Plans |
To organise training camps for activists, teachers, trade unionists, Dalits, feminists and other groups at the all India level; undertake studies at the micro and macro levels on the genesis of the causes of sectarian conflicts and various controversial issues arising from time to time; appoint well-qualified and experienced staff to undertake activities for the Centre to promote communal harmony among the slum and pavement dwellers.
