Lens with a soul
I n an effort to make a difference to the society and reach out to the aid of the many unnoticed NGOs, MAM movies is organising a filmmaking event - I am the change project.
All the films made would be screened as a part of the film festival to be held in Mumbai on August 2. The participants of I am the change project would shoot, conceptualise and edit a five-minute video which captures the true essence and the working of the NGO. "The idea behind the event is to have NGOs generate awareness and reach out to as many people as possible," said Vishal Gupta, the 23-year-old production assistant and film enthusiast. Reaching out The project is open to amateur as well as adult filmmakers with the last day for registrations being June 20. "The event will also have young filmmakers connect with the different social issues in the process," added Vishal. He, along with a bunch of college students and volunteers is working for MAM. Personalities all The fest is looking for people who can tell good stories about NGOs, bringing about a social positive change. Founded by couple Madhusudan and Megha Agarwal, MAM Movies initiated the Genesis Film Project last year. It was supported by Anupam Kher, Nagesh Kukunoor and Madhur Bhandarkar.
