SBI Launches New Scheme to Adopt Poor Girl Children
 
State Bank of India under its Community Services Banking launched a new scheme to adopt girl children across the State at all its Branches. Under the Scheme each Branch will adopt minimum of two poor girl children without any exception who are in need of financial support to meet their educational expenses. Children from 1st Standard to 10th standard are eligible under the scheme. SBI Bangalore Circle has identified and supported 455 students across the state and the number will cross 1000 before March 2008. Mahpara Ali, CGM, state Bank of India, Bangalore Circle seen handing over the books, school bags and financial assistance to one of the beneficiary at Harihar, Karnataka State. Ashok Baijal, DGM & CCFO and C.V. Venkatesh, DGM, Bangalore looks on.
