TWO YEAR PART-TIME DIPLOMA COURSE IN LANGUAGE THERAPY

Trainer:

Ms. Sandra Dillon, M.A., CALT; Director, MLTINM, is a Certified Academic Language Therapist and a Qualified Trainer and Qualified Instructor, with decades of experience as the Albuquerque Public School’s Language Clinic for Dyslexic Students. She is the author of Sounds In Syllables, an Orton-Gillingham based curriculum designed to meet the needs of bright but severely reading-impaired high school students, which has been in use for over 30 years as the core curriculum in public schools and clinics all over the USA and Canada.

Additional Modules by MDA staff and visiting faculty.

Eligibility: Graduate in Psychology, Human Development, Child Development, Language, Education & related fields. Preference will be given to Mainstream teachers, occupational and speech therapists and those already in the field of Special Education

Seats: 14

Course Fee: Rs 75000/- per year, inclusive of course materials and textbooks.

Cost of video recording lessons and correspondence with the Trainer to be borne

by the Trainees.

Course begins on May 12, 2008.

Theory classes start from May 12 to May 30, 2008 at MDA, Parel

Classes every alternate Saturday thereafter. Alternative arrangements may be considered in the case of outstation students.

Trainees to put in minimum 300 hours per year at MDA: 150 hours of teaching and 150 hours of lesson preparation.
