Notes - Krishnagopal Maheshwari Foundation is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950 on 9th June 1969 and also under Income Tax Act of 1961 under section 12-A.

Krishnagopal Maheshwari Foundation conducts activities for health, environment, art and culture through various programs and by supporting other organizations involved in such programs. Krishnagopal Maheshwari Foundation gives emphasis on providing health services to disadvantaged sections of the society. It identifies health needs of local people, and provides services according to their expressed needs through involvement of local youth and educational institutions. The foundation arranges annual medical camps in areas where health facilities are not available.
One of the latest programs is a comprehensive medical checkup camp in Bagar, district Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. A health awareness campaign was conducted in Bagar to understand prevalence of various health ailments among the villagers. The campaign was followed by the medical check up camp. A team of medical professionals (physician, gynecologist, pediatrician, ophthalmologist, cancer specialist and ENT surgeon) along with support of para-medical staff conducted the full day medical camp. Approximately 500 patients were checked and treated in this camp held on 5th February 2005. The camp provided for free facility for medical check up, diagnosis, treatment and medicine. The post campaign program and the medical camp feedback from the villagers was very encouraging. The foundation has decided to make this an annual activity.
Considering the need for Hepatitis-B vaccination, the foundation has arranged a free Hepatitis-B vaccination camp on 18th April 2004, at Bagar, district Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan in collaboration with local charitable Trusts and medical professionals. Total number of beneficiaries of the camp were 159, which include 75 children and 84 women. Cancer patients were also examined by cancer specialist in the camp. The foundation has provided free medicine to poor and needy patients and supported local Trusts in organizing a free medical check up camp where 117 patients were benefited. This camp was organized on 21st June 2005.

· Due to extreme cold, the poor people in Jhunjhunu district suffer a lot during winter. The Foundation responded to this need by distribution of the blankets. ‘Khes’ (blankets) were distributed to 200 needy families on 4th February 2005. Identification of needy families was done with the help of local NGOs.
