Position: Business Counsellor, Ethical Business Programme (Auditor – Compliance)

International Resources for Fairer Trade (IRFT) is a not for profit organisation established in the year 1995 with a mission to impact on poverty and unemployment through fairer and ethical trade practices in business.

Key responsibilities would include:

• Ethical audits and consultancy, client management, research, training, advocacy, etc. 
• Ability to interface with stakeholders and an openness to travel is essential
• Identifying areas/projects for IRFT’s intervention, & planning and supporting networking efforts

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate degree/diploma holders in Management/ Labour laws/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences. Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety would be an asset
• Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
• Language of priority – Tamil
• 1-5 years in any one or more of the following areas:

1. Workplace monitoring & evaluation of projects

2. Social audits

3. Industrial relations

4. Shop floor experience
