About Journeys for Change
Journeys for Change is an exciting new social enterprise that develops
leaders to create greater impact in the world. It does this through
taking them on interactive expeditions - or "learning journeys" - to
spend time with some of the world's most inspiring social
entrepreneurs, NGOs and microfinance institutions.

Participants on the journeys are made up of a unique mix of social
entrepreneurs and senior leaders from the some of the world's top
private, public and civil society sector organisations.

Journeys currently take place in India, with expeditions planned to
other countries in the future.
Each two-week journey in India immerses participants in a unique
experience that encompasses hands-on field visits, access to leading
changemakers and debate around local and national issues, and personal
and group reflection time.

The emphasis is on mutual learning, idea sharing and international
collaboration, enabling participants to broaden their vision,
challenge their thinking and develop new approaches to make greater
impact in their work.

Journey Coordinator profile
As we expand our operations, we are looking to recruit an exceptional
Journey Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities
Your overall responsibility will be to effectively organise and
coordinate the learning journeys. Within this, your responsibilities
will be as following:

Specific for each journey
• Act as the primary communication point for social entrepreneurs and
organisations that have agreed to host the journey
• Confirm the itinerary of visits, talks and other activities as
planned with the Director and the local host
• Compile an information pack with of details of each host
leader/organisation and useful information on each specific location
visited on the journey
• Coordinate logistics prior to and on the journeys to ensure high
quality boarding, lodging and travel

• Collate feedback from the host leaders/organisation after the
completion of the journey
• Take responsibility the journey budget, managing cash expenses and
maintaining accurate records for each journey

General
• Create a database of inspiring social entrepreneurs and
organisations across India that could be potential hosts for future
journeys
• Design potential itineraries in different parts of India
• Provide any other support to the Director as necessary

Skills and experience
We are looking for the following skills and experience:
• Minimum 2 years experience of working in or with the social
entrepreneurship or social sector in India
• Experience of coordinating logistics for events/workshops
• Enthused about our purpose of using learning journeys as a tool to
develop leaders and create greater impact in the world
• Confident in communicating with people from international
backgrounds and at all levels including eminent leaders, field staff,
local communities and service providers
• Excellent relationship building skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Confident in coping with difficult and unexpected situations
• Willing to travel extensively
• Fluent in English and Hindi
• Basic IT skills, especially MS Office.
