What we do : Population First is an NGO working  to support National Population Policy for  balanced, planned and stable population in the country by the year 2045.

About us: We are a Mumbai based organization working on population and health issues within the framework of women’s rights and social development.  As an advocacy and communication initiative, we strongly believe in public private partnership and have successfully roped in corporate houses, media and civil society to take up population and health issues on priority. Population First works on a 3- pronged communication strategies namely: National Advocacy campaign for Population stabilization 2. Grassroots communication initiative to enhance the access and demand for quality health services at the community level 3. Laadli a campaign to fight for girl child’s right to be born.

Designation: Programme Executive

 Job responsibility:

Planning and co-coordinating the Ward level Activities

Networking with NGOs, Ward level Officials, Personnel from Health Department and other Agencies for implementing the ward level initiatives

Documenting the process and outcome of initiatives

Developing modules and conducting training programmes on Gender and Girl child issues for the stakeholders.

She or He would be also assisting the Programme Director in :

Implementation of the Laadli college campaign

Organization of Media Sensitization Workshop on Gender

Supervision of Field project in Thane.

Provide training inputs required for successful implementation of the Thane Project.

Profile of the candidate:

• Post graduate in Social work with at least three to five years of experience in working with NGOs, preferably in the area of Gender and health.

• Excellent relationship management skills are essential
• Ability to work independently and should be necessarily hands on
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to use technology effectively
• Knowledge of English, Marathi & Hindi(verbal & written)

Other Details:
• Work would preferably be full time in nature
• Based in Mumbai
• Remuneration will be based on experience and will be in line with those in the Developmental Sector.
