| About us : Aims & Objectives Medical Surgeries and Aids/Appliances : To provide Medical Aid (Surgeries, Treatment, Physiotherapy) to correct disabilities to best possible extent and to supply Aids or Appliances for improving mobility and functional capacity. Promote Self-Sufficiency : Identify real potential, which is normally not explored due to over sympathy and/or parental overprotection at home and Motivate the incumbent to use his/her real potential for promoting self-sufficiency. Educational Opportunities : To provide Educational Aid, hostel facility for students (boys & girls) with disabilities. Vocational Training: To provide training in farming and vocational activities to persons with disabilities for getting gainful employment or self employment leading to economic self sufficiency. Personality Development : To provide personality development opportunities through sports, arts, cultural activities, excursions etc. To create Barrier-Free Infrastructures such as schools, hostels, rehabilitation centers, workshops etc. for persons with disabilities to enhance their performance. Marriage : Finally leading to fulfillment of life if suitable match is available. To carry out any activity condusive to Rehabilitation, Development and Welfare of persons with disabilities. Major Focus Area & Target Group : Education, Health Care and Empowerment of persons with disabilities with a special thrust on women, children, poor and rural people without limiting it to any geographical region. |

| Brief History : Two dynamic ladies, one wheel chair bound, struck by paraplegia at the age of 16 years, namely Miss. Naseema Hurzuk and the other one on crutches due to polio, namely Mrs. Rajani (Karkare) Deshpande along with like minded people undertook a crusade 22 years back for rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. The organization was registered in 1984 under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950, & also under Societies Registration Act 1860. The organization has provided Rehabilitation Assistance to over 12,000 persons with disabilities to the tune of Rs. 338.07 Lacs so far & also created infrastructures such as Hostels, Schools, Rehabilitation & Training Centres etc. costing Rs. 354.43 Lacs to ensure more effective and on-going services. |

| What do you exactly do for a beneficiary?: Future Projects Following Activities are projected during the coming 5 years as an extension of our existing projects: `Swapna Nagari' i. e. Dreamland: At Village: More, Tal. : Kudal, Dist. : Sindhudurga Construction of first floor on our existing Hostel building to accommodate 60 Vocational trainees whom we wish to train in Agro-based activities. Construction of a home for the elderly persons with disabilities to provide them a loving, caring and peaceful life in their sunset years. Expansion of Cashew Cultivation and Processing activities. Samarth Vidya Mandir: At Uchgaon, Tal. : Karveer, Dist. : Kolhapur Construction of new building over 2000 Sq. Mtrs. of land granted by Govt. of Maharashtra adjacent to our existing hostel. |
