Pedestrians are finding it difficult to walk freely at Chembur Railway station.  Nearby Chembur Railway station, the work is stopped for abruptly for the last many days when it comes to near Chembur Railway station.  The work left in the mid way. The pedestrians are finding it difficult to use footpath as the same space is used and occupied by heavy encroachment done by both shopkeepers as well as hawkers.

At present, the hawkers got elevated and more space for encroachment by denying access to pedestrian.  The hawkers are well organised and support from BMC.  NGOs and Media should conduct a survey on this area to take stock of the situation and brought to the fact before the concerned authorities.  Despite many complaints from the residents of this area to BMC nothing has been changed till now.  The tax payers feel cheated due to apathy and irresponsibility of the BMC and other authorities. Again BMC pushed pedestrian on the middle of road by denying the right and access of footpath.
