NGO capacity building workshop on “Challenges & Opportunities for Cancer Prevention & Control”
Tata Memorial Centre is one of the premier National Comprehensive Cancer
Centre engaged in prevention, treatment, education & research in cancer in the
country. Department of Preventive Oncology, at
WHO collaborating centre for Cancer Prevention, Screening & Control & has
been very actively engaged in the field of Cancer Prevention & Control activities at the
National & International level
As part of the departmental initiative for successfully involving Non
Governmental Organisations in cancer control efforts and empowering them with
the requisite knowledge, we propose to hold a one day NGO capacity building
workshop on “Challenges & Opportunities for Cancer Prevention & Control” on
7th November 2006 between 9.30 am to 4.00 pm at Lecture Hall, Auditorium
Complex, Golden Jubilee Block, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai.
This workshop is aimed at Programme Managers on how to advocate, plan
and implement effective Cancer Prevention & Control activities. The registration
for the workshop is free. The participants will be provided adequate resource
material during the course of the workshop.
You are kindly requested to depute 2-3 candidates of the managerial
cadre from your organisation to participate in the said workshop.
