BHUMI is launching a unique sustained Mentorship Programme called Dronacharya & Ekalavya Mentorship Programme on November 14th, 2006 to celebrate Children's Day.

Dronacharya & Ekalavya (DnE) Mentorship Programme is an attempt to allow Government School children a fair opportunity at fulfilling their individual goals and nurturing their innate talent. In the first phase of this programme which is a 6 month period between November 14th, 2006 and May 14th, 2007, this will be done by ensuring that each student in classes 9 and 10 has a Mentor.

DnE's goal is to provide these children with an alternate world view and open their eyes to the world that is waiting to be explored.

We hope that each Mentor will spend about 2 hrs a week with his chosen student and guide him, inspire him, teach him - as a brotherly figure, broaden his horizons regarding the world so that he understands what he CAN look up to.

DnE brings together two lives from diverse backgrounds and seeks to be beneficial to the student as well as emotionally and mentally satisfying for the mentor. For this purpose, in order to aid the Mentor, a guide will also be provided, which has been specially prepared by an expert in this field.

This programme will be a unique platform to get rid of the social stigma that affects the potential Ekalavyas.

You can find more details about the programme here - http://bhumi.in/dne/
