March 12: Mumbai: World Kidney Day

On 12th March 2009, World Kidlney day will be celebrated by National
Kidney Foundation jointly with Mumbai Nephrology Group, Narmada Kidney
Foundation,Sevak Trust,Mumbai Kidney Foundation,Jeevan Jyot Blood Bank
and several other organisations.

Shri Shatrughna Sinha, Former Health Minister will be
Chief Guest and Shri Shammi Kapur will be Guest of Honour. Padmashri
Nana Chudasama will preside over the function.

Several Kidney specialists including Dr.Umesh Khanna,
Dr.Vidya Acharya, Dr.Bharat Shah and Dr.Hemant Mehta , DrJyotsana Zope
etc. will be speaking and covering all the points about kidney
disease, causes, steps for prevention, treatment and kidney transplant
etc.

The programme will be at Ravindra Natya Mandir,
Prabhadevi, Mumbai 400 025 on Thursday, 12th March 2009 from 6 p.m. to
8-30 p.m. Exhibition , B.P. checkuup and blood sugar checkup will
also be done at the venue from 4-30 p.m. onward.
