Findstone.com - Marlet Place for Building Stones

Comet Media Foundation. It is a media focused NGO that works on social education. This NGO has been organizing a series of melas called bal vividhas to celebrate the alternative approaches to learning.

The vividha is a platform for alternate approaches in education and learning. I have been thinking about using animals to work with people and children who are ill or emotionally upset. I do not know if you NGO works with animals as a way to boost learning with children who are lagging behind in class work for whatever reason. If you do have animals who are able to do this - I invite you to participate in this mela. When you go through the note see which activity appeals to you. Otherwise, we could have a session where in you with your dog and maybe a couple more talk about the work that you are doing - let kids, parents and teachers interact with the animals etc.

We would really love it if this is possible and you are prepared to come. If you'll have products to sell and want a stall that is possible - the rates are below. If you prefer not to have a stall - just a performance on any or all 3 days that too is possible.

Interactive corners:

A stall 10ft by 10 ft (Rs 600 per day for 3 days).

The charges would include lunch and two teas for 3 people.

The agency/person who rents the stall space will be expected to host interactive events that gives children a fun experience while allowing you to market your products/services.

This year Comet organizing a mela at two places. First at Vishwajyot High School, sector- 20, Kharghar. And the second at St. Stanislaus High School, Bandra (west) from the 1st - 3rd of May 2008. This mela is called the yuva vividha and is aimed at the youth i.e. children and adolescents. This vividha will focus on ICTs as a newer method of learning. It will also feature more traditional (but almost forgotten) forms of learning
