Electricity Issues : Important Dates of Public Hearings

BEST, MahaGenco and MahaTransco Public Hearings are over. REL ATE hearing is over (Feb 20), matter still pending.

Here are the time-lines for MYT petitions:

1. MahaTransco (MSEB Transmission)
Feb 6 - Petition for MYT Admitted (MERC Case No. 67 of 2006)
Feb 8 - Public Notice in TOI
Feb 23 - If public response submitted by this date, reply will be sent within 1 week.
Feb 27 - Last date for Public response
Feb 28 - Public Hearing at MERC, Mumbai
Mar 5 - Last date for MahaTransco to file replies to public, if not already done, at hearing.

2. MahaGenco (MSEB Generation)
Jan 31 - Petition for MYT Admitted (MERC Case No. 68 of 2006)
Feb 6 - Public Notice in TOI
Feb 19 - If public response submitted by this date, reply will be sent within 1 week.
Feb 24 - Last date for Public response
Feb 28 - Public Hearing at MERC, Mumbai
Mar 5 - Last date for MahaGenco to file replies to public, if not already done, at hearing.

3. MahaVitaran (MSEB Distribution)
Jan 31 - Petition for MYT Admitted (MERC Case No. 65 of 2006)
Feb 11 - Public Notice in TOI
Feb 26 - If public response submitted by this date, reply will be sent within 1 week.
Mar 2 - Last date for Public response
Mar 5 - Public Hearing at Amravati
Mar 6 - Public Hearing at Nagpur
Mar 9 - Public Hearing at Aurangabad
Mar 12 - Public Hearing at Nashik
Mar 14 - Public Hearing at Pune
Mar 16 - Public Hearing at Navi Mumbai (for Mumbai residents also)
Mar 10 - Last date for MahaVitaran to file replies to public, if not already done, at hearings. No mistake here, its Mar 10th only :)

Jan 31 - Petition for MYT Admitted (MERC Case No. 66 of 2006)
Feb 7 - Public Notice in Midday
Feb 25 - Last date for Public response

Jan 16 - Petition for REL-T MYT admitted

Feb 26 - Copies available to Public
Mar 15 - Last date for Public response
Mar 19 - REL will give replies to public response (if filed by Mar 15)
Mar 20 - Public can file rejoinders to REL's replies
Mar 21 - Public Hearing at Vile Parle (E)

6. Tata Power
Feb 26 - Petition for MYT admitted
Feb 28 - Public Notice in TOI
Mar 19 - REL will give replies to public response (if filed by Mar 13)
Mar 19 - Last date for Public response
Mar 20 - Public Hearing at IMC Hall, Opp Churchgate Station
Mar 23 - Public can submit rejoinders
