Ever since he received a revised tariff bill from REL, in October 2006, he has been studying and fighting for consumers rights on the Electricity issue.

He has represented the consumers at MERC's Public Hearings for BEST tariff hike (was successful in cancelling the hike of Rs. 700 cr) , and at the Apellate Tribunal for Electricity Hearing for REL's proposal to charge us an extra Rs 1000+ cr (next date Feb 20).

He moderates the "bijlee" Group and the TPS PTA Group at Yahoogroups.

I Mohammed Tarique staying at 25 chunawala cottage 4th Sankli street, Mumbai- 400008.
We have power theft from our meter cabin,A black single wire is goign out of cabin which is suspected in shops at the entrance of our building . Room 30 is having no meter 8 years ago BEST had cut the supply because they were not paying bills, since then Room 16 is giving them supply ,if BEST is not going to take action there may be chance that people will sell their domestic electricity supply to the illegal shops around us & many people are doing that thing but from other building. I have tried various time to call at the no. which BEST has given on each n every bills for complaint of power theft but the no. is always not reachable.I have twice complained to the website of pro but still no action have been taken.Please do  something for power theft as our bills are rising day by day.
