Group discussion is a test methodology that is used by top management institutes of India like IIMs, FMS Delhi, XLRI, IIFT etc. to check a candidate's communication skills, learning skills, flexibility, creativity, initiative, reasoning ability and much more. This is very important thing for those who are seeking admission in MBA program. Today, many business schools conduct group discussion for selecting the right candidate in their institutes. There are five important things that one should conquer before going to Group discussion. Fear The first and foremost thing is that most of us freeze at the time of public speaking. In the case of Group discussion, you have to speak publicly more effectively. So for qualifying Group discussion and speaking effectively, one should have to overcome any unexplained fear and anxiety. Negative Thinking If you really want to get success in group discussion, you should not abandon your negative thoughts and negative projections. Knowledge and Preparation Somebody has truly said, “ Knowledge is power” and one can conquer over fear by one's knowledge and adequate preparation. An MBA aspirant can find the perfect solution of the problems of economy, society and politics too. You should also have knowledge of current affairs of Indian and world economy.
