Clinical research, a medical science branch, determines the safety and effectiveness of devices, medications, diagnostic products and treatment regimens intended for the human usage. It can be used for the treatment, prevention, diagnosis or providing relief of the symptoms in a disease. The clinical research program brings various job opportunities for the students such as clinical writer, medical monitor, clinical research associate, business development manager, clinical trial manager, protocol manager etc. This is a multinational, multibillion, multidisciplinary industry. So after doing this course from the reputed institute, an individual can easily build his career in this field.

A person, who is responsible to monitor clinical trials, is called clinical research associate. He can work as a freelancer through a contract with a research organization or can contract with a sponsor company which handles clinical trials. As a clinical research associate, one can involve in liaising with doctors and consultants about conducting trials, in monitoring the trial, collecting suitable data and confirming its accuracy, writing reports on the results, finding a suitable study centre i.e. either hospital or health center and much more. The people, who want to make their careers as Clinical Research Associate, should have excellent written and oral communication skills. They should also able to work well in a team. Apart from this, they should also have commercial awareness, confident in work, understand the importance of good clinical practice, well organized and much more.

The main responsibility of CRA is to supervise the entire process of clinical trials, initiated and conducted by the physicians at clinics, hospitals, offices of physicians and other medical establishments. He usually gets employment in various companies such as medical research organizations, medical related field etc. An individual, who wishes to make his career in this field, should do clinical research program to do good practical, decisional and communicational skills in the process.
