Conservation of natural resources
This is a fundamental aspect of everything we do. We have set ambitious targets at our business to use fewer resources. Our water and energy conservation performance has been promising and has set new targets in some instances.
Health and safety
Sesa Goa is committed to achieving best practice in health and safety at all of our units. Our systems are well established and are regularly reviewed and monitored taking into account our own experiences and industry best practice. Knowledge-sharing across the Vedanta group companies plays an important part in this process.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Our approach to Community Development is holistic and long-term. Our stakeholder engagement and consultation process, coupled with base line studies, need-assessments and periodic social audits help us develop and shape our programs for a 3-5 year period. Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and community consultation are the core drivers of our work with communities. We strategically partner with like-minded organizations, including government agencies, NGOs, local communities, and Panchayats in most of our projects.

Sesa Community Development Foundation ("SCDF")
"SCDF represents Sesa Goa's social focus. This foundation runs Sesa Technical School which provides technical training to local students and Sesa Football Academy which nurtures future footballers from Goa."
Mineral Foundation of Goa (MFG)
"Sesa Goa is one of the founder members and the largest contributor to Mineral Foundation of Goa, an NGO which addresses environmental & social issues in mining belt of Goa."
Need Based Interventions
"We initiate need based CSR measures in and around our operations. Local residents and key stakeholders are encouraged to approach us with concepts, projects, developmental programmes and initiatives."
"We also focus on the development of the areas on different fronts like education, health, agriculture, alternative livelihood, infrastructure, sanitation etc. We continuously seek partnership and collaboration with Government Bodies & other organisations (NGO's) in pursuance of our social mission who aligns with our vision.
