CSR activities:

• Alok Industries Limited recognizes the importance of managing effectively and seeking continuous improvement in health, safety and environmental matters as an integral part of its business activities. It has been our continuous endeavor to provide an environment, which ensures health, safe working conditions and safe practices.
• Environment Sustainability-The Company has taken active steps to promote the use of organic cotton. It has tied up for contract farming spread over 1.4 lac acres for supply of organic and fair trade cotton duly certified by SKAL and ECO CERT. This is a part of the initiative taken up by the company to ensure sustainable resources of raw material, fair price to the farmers and to promote the use of organic cotton in the country.
• The company besides taking steps in energy conservation is implementing proposals for reduction of consumption of energy.
• At the company’s garment plant at Silvassa, 1000 tribal women are trained and are later on absorbed by the company.
• Responsible water usage and water treatment are major focus areas.
• The company is running education classes for children of construction workers at Vapi.
• Tree plantation initiatives are being carried out at Vapi and Silvassa plants
• Free health check ups and blood donation camps are organized at the plants
• Aiding and facilitating community marriages at Valsad district.
• The company proposes to set up partially charitable, state of the art hospital at Silvassa.
