CSR activities:

• Contribution to Society-The Company has rural development society near Panelav in the foothills of Pawagadh. The objective is to provide self employment opportunities through vocational trainings and education to adult and children in 50 villages in the vicinity

• Health Safety and Environment-Alembic has carried out the following activities as a part of its annual plan

1.      Reduced waste generation by collecting and disposing all wastes in environment friendly manner

2.      Tree plantation across premises and factories

3.      Reduced level of sound pollution

• Conservation of Energy- During the year number of steps are taken for preservation of environment and conservation of natural resources.

  The company understands that only making profit should not be the sole purpose of any enterprise. Therefore we are not only involved in manufacturing and making the medicines available to the masses but also making a difference to the society at large and rural areas in particular through various initiatives. One such Initiative is the Rural Development Center for the upliftment of rural population.
  
  Today, the society by and large bought significant changes in areas like health, education, self employment of rural population. Activities and programmes consist of Health education, Health care & HIV/AIDS programmes, Vocational training, Self employment training, Industrial co-operatives, self help groups (Papad & Snack services, hosiery & garment making, carpentry, Acrylics etc), Yuvati vikas Kendra i.e. Adolescent Girls center(for psycho social support, school support, Adolescent counseling) & youth development, Legal AID center, Farmer training programme & Agriculture development, Sanitation programme, Vikas Secondary high school for the village children to name a few.
