CSR activities:

• Enviornment, Health and Safety-The Company’s environment policy comprise air pollution prevention, proper waste management and establishment of proper drainage system. Integration of eco friendly technology into business lifeline for a cleaner and greener growth.

• Zero Waste Discharge- Recycling of accumulated dust particles from the electrostatic precipitator into the sinter plant for reuse in the blast furnace.The company is taking every possible step for bio-diversity.

• Pollution Control-Pollution is controlled through the use of machinery like electrostatic precipitator

• Community Welfare
  1. Irrigation scheme targeting more than 300 acres of agricultural land, benefiting more than 700 families. This scheme would supply free irrigation water to local farmers.
  2. Arrangment of free doctor visits to the surrounding 12 villages thrice a week
  3. Six villages have been identified as model villages to enhance electrification, clear water supply and development of schools.
  4. Free distribution of books
  5. Supporting sports in villages
  6. Organising different training programmes like embroidery training for women
  7. Development of community hall
  8. Building of roads and bridges
  9. Sponsoring teachers
  10. Construction of play grounds for surrounding villages
  11. Free blanket distribution

• Plans for next year-For the year ahead the company has plans to construct a hospital and bus stands, drinking water facility, sports ground for a proposed investment of 54.60 lacs.
