British Chevening Scholarships are for one year masters programmes and short tailor-made programmes in the UK. These include the Indian Friends of the LSE scholarship and cover all subjects except Medicine. Deadline for sending completed applications is 30 November 2006. Charles Wallace India Trust (CWIT) scholarships are available in the area of performing, visual or applied arts. Commonwealth Scholarships which also cover PhD programmes and courses in Medicine, are advertised by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
