| Notes - Though we had been doing charitable works since 1985, our Activities are regd in Thane in 1996 as a Public Charitable Trust namely: Calvary Centre Trust. Based on the principle of love and sacrifice to serve mankind (meaning of Calvary). The activities are aimed at reaching out to and developing all communities. The main goal is to rebuild lives- by developing character and bringing a transformation in life by imparting sound moral teaching, conseling, and mentoring. To achieve this various seminars, workshops, conferences and training programs are being held at various places. They are geared for children, youth, families, professionals and students. The activities are broadly classified into: 1.Moral teaching & mentoring to develop character for youth and families. 2. Social welfare and care programs for children andpoor widows 3. Training leadership for professionals and youth for skill development. 4. Educational and Career guidance for students & literacy classes in villages/slums. 5. Encouraging ministry includes a free weekly encouraging letter by email to all over the world and encouraging messages/articles on the website. 6. Crisis Counseling through telephone, email and person to person. 7. Publication of books on practical issues 8. Regular prayer and fellowship meetings are being held at various places to bring together different communities to love and care for one another as they share and pray for one another's problems and needs. Living in peace, harmony and unity are being encouraged. Needs more volunteers to share in the activities of the Trust and impact more lives. More sponsors/.donors are needed to support various activities and to undertake bigger projects and to reach a large number of people. How others can involve with us: By encouraging through emails/letters, etc. By organizing or sponsoring programs/seminars, etc for the youth, students, families, etc. at their own locations or cities. Extending any kind of practical/financial support The activities of the Trust are run on the free-will offerings and donations of the well-wishers and friends/partners. Till today Trust does not have an office of its own. Moving from place to place and operating frorm the rented houses.
