KAIKHALI JIBANDISHA is an association for the development of society.It is now actively engaged in awareness campaigns in Road safety in schools,colleges and other spheres of the society.With some dedicated volunteers,KAIKHALI JIBANDISHA has organised traffic awareness campaigns in different corners of Kolkata.It has conducted Road Safety Week under the auspices of Kolkata Police.It has participated in drawing competition on the above subject.It has successfully organised a n inhouse discussion on better traffic management in Kolkata in collaboration with Kolkata Police and Pollution Control Board.It has conducted surveys on pedestrians and drivers for a better understanding of the problem .It is also engaged in preparing a documentary on the theme .It is also involved in academic research activities on the issue.Anyone sincere to its efforts can join this organisation .Come,let us join this noble organisation to help a major social cause.Our united effort can reduce the global menace . KAIKHALI JIBANDISHA is also involved with environmental activities.As it knows that traffic pollution or road pollution is one of the worst evils. KAIKHALI JIBANDISHA ,with its experience on the road and discourse with the parts of the society ,suggests some necessary steps to be taken for road safety in and around Kolkata.Roads must be organised in a way with reference to the pedestrians.Pedestrians' interest is neglected.There is also least thinking for the disabled.There is also no provision for the cyclists.Width of the roads should be maintained .Road engineers should look into the matter. Proper training of the drivers and its updating is a must.No political interest should interfere as it is a question of life and death. Continuous awareness campaigns since the childhood should be attempted. KAIKHALI JIBADISHA is also involved with similar national and international efforts.
