A: Details of the problem
1.Problem: Noise pollution due to loudspeaker at Bandra (W)
2. Period: Before 2007
3. Details: MacRonells party hall at St. Andrews Road, Nextto Learners Academy, Bandra(W) has functions in a residential area where they play very loud music with loudspeakers, over the 55db limit specified in the law. Since the party hall adjoins a school, it should be designated a silence zone.
 
4. Additional information: Nil
5. Steps taken till now:
We have made multiple requests to the BMC to make it a silence zone. We have also visited the police station to file a complaint against them.
 
6. Result:
There has been no response from the BMC. The police refused to register a complaint.
 
7. Help needed now:
We wish to have the area declared a silence zone, and need advice on how to ensure this is done. We also want the police to register a complaint.
