Can they build a society office?
We have received a a request for Advice via Karmayog as per the details below.

A: Details of the problem
1.Problem: Can they build a society office?
2. Period: 2010 - January
3. Details: our building consists of 36 flats. the office bearer have built an office for the society use (this was not provided by the builder) now they want all the owners to pay rs. 2000/- towards office building fund.
 
4. Additional information: Nil
5. Steps taken till now:
 till now we have not paid the extra 2000/- as we thought that the office bearers are making it from the maintainence money.
 
6. Result:
 Nothing, the office bearers have stopped talking to me.
 
7. Help needed now:
 i want to know. 1) is this society office legal. 2) can i complain against this office to the Registrar or NMMC (navi mumbai municipal corporation) 3) will NMMC break this office if i complain.
 
8. Will pay fees for help / professional advice:
 No
