A: Details of the problem
1.Problem: noise pollution
2. Period: 2010 - October
3. Details: noise fron air conditioning plant in k star mall .problem from o930 to 2300 hrs
 
4. Additional information: Nil
5. Steps taken till now:
have approached mpcb mumbai to measure the noise to ascertain if it is within limits as required by law for residential areasarea
 
6. Result:
acknowledgement recd from mpcb

help in finding ways to reduce noise at source

B: My Suggestions
1. For Commercial organisations: the mall should instal necessary noise control devices to bring the noise to below permissible limits
 
2. For NGOs: similar action should be initiated in other areas so as to have minimal noise pollution
 
3. For Government: bring about awareness of noise pollutuion in residential ares and effectively control it
 
4. For others in a similar situation: bring about awareness of noise pollution from air conditioning conditioning systems and try to enforce reduction/ol
 
5. Other Information Needed: inform if similar situation has been reported and how it was meaningfully addressed
