| Brief History : The programme was envisaged in 2004 when Dr. U. P. Rao, a well known life scientist met with principal to commence amajor overseas project in asbestos survey. This brought home the concern that no such project is underway at our our homes in Mumbai. Publication of articles were undertaken to inform the public of this invisible danger. Also included in the programmes were other relevant environmental health issues such as Ground monitoring wells and detailed noise survey. |

| Brief Projects / Achievements : Public awareness publication gave healthy response in India. Abroad we have extensive experience in Asbestos Survey of residential and commercial premises, Noise level Surveys. Achieved Fellowship of several world wide organisations. |

| What do you exactly do for a beneficiary?: We make public aware of the dangers of environmental pollutions such as asbestos which can kill. Also design ground water monitoring studies to check the toxicity and life threatening elements present in the ground water. |

| Programmes organised during the year: Basic courses were held for interested students where we taught the basics of asbestos. That is What is asbestos, how it endangers the life of people exposed to its microscopic particles, what preventive measures to taken etc. |
