Findstone.com - Marlet Place for Building Stones

There are 2 forms that are carried in an ambulance. One is a call card which  has details of who called for the animal, their names and addresses, their  signature, identifying mark of the animal, species of the animal etc. The  other is a treatment card to be filled up by the vet in the ambulance and  tallies with the call card serial number. But now we will simplify it by  clubbing both together: the call card on one side and treatment card on the  backside. There will be a perforated counterpart that will be numbered as  the call card and handed over to the caller.

I will write this down nicely and send it to you for circulation, within a
few days. I havent been too well, with too many inspections all over
Maharashtra in a limited period of time, so just give me a couple of days.
Regards

Dear Shakuntala,
Congrats!
Thanks for the update.
Keep up the great work!
BTW, what checklists / forms get filled when an animal is picked up?
You may wish to share that with the group so that others can benefit from
your expertise.

Vinay

Dear Nimesh and Vinay,
26th Jan was a very happy day for us. After repeated requests to the Ministry for the last 4 years, the file for our appeal for an animal ambulance was at last handed over to the AWBI by them, sanctioned and finalised. With only 3 animal ambulances in this huge district, with 2 of them restricted only to small animals and working only within Thane city, there was only one left, overused and breaking up, for rescue and treatment work. It was high time that a large animal ambulance started running the roads of Thane district.

We ordered for a Tempo Trax Kargo, with a Benz engine, and a capacity of 2 tonnes. It will be fitted with a ramp for dragging large animals, a dog grasper, a snake grasper, two stretchers, a first aid kit, oxygen cylinder, Emergency Medicines, surgical instruments, a basin and small water tank, an overhead light for emergency treatment and a metal chequered plate   flooring
with outlets for water to flow out. Also an animal carrier and basket - you
never know what we might catch.

We will employ a driver and a vet to be in the ambulance. Initially the ambulance will run for 9 hours a day, after judging the pattern of calls  and
response of the vehicle, we wish to increase the timing. Meanwhile the hospital has been spruced up and a emergency cattle ward is  in our plans.

The reason why I am writing this to you , although both of you know what is
going on, is that it would not have been possible without either of you.

Warmest Regards
Shakuntala Majumdar
